This Micro Project is dedicated to serving daily meals to 50 neglected elderly people living in a remote area of the Guntur district, India. These individuals have been identified as being at high risk of starvation due to various vulnerabilities, sickness including the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and a lack of family or neighborly support. The project's aim is to raise $1000. This amount will ensure the provision of daily meals to these 50 elders for a duration of 2 months.Please help
The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the plight of the elderly in Guntur, a district in Andhra Pradesh, India. More than 300 of them, living in slums and rural areas, face malnutrition and hunger as high-risk cases. Additionally, they are not able to work, and no one is providing assistance in these areas. They urgently need humanitarian help and support from the government and civil society. They are not just COVID victims, but also the neglected ones.
BASS India is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving daily nutritious meals to 50 elderly individuals who are at risk of starvation in Guntur. Through this micro-project, we aim to improve their health and well-being. Our approach is holistic: we provide not only food but also conduct regular medical check-ups.
